Tutt Joins Arvest Bank Mortgage Team in Benton

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Mary F. Tutt has been hired as a mortgage loan officer.

Tutt will be based out of Benton. Among other responsibilities, Tutt will qualify customers for mortgage financing and meet with builders, realtors, financial planners and other entities to help create new business.
 
A Memphis native, Tutt has more than 30 years of industry experience. She moved to Arkansas in 2005, after she was forced to evacuate her home in Long Beach, Miss., due to Hurricane Katrina.
 
“We are so excited to welcome Mary to our team in Saline County,” Arvest mortgage manager Eric Cullum said. “Her years of experience will be a great asset to our customers, and we look forward to her helping us continue to grow in this area.”
 
Tutt lives in Malvern.

Eckman Celebrates 45 Years With Arvest Bank

Arvest Bank and Carolyn Eckman celebrated Eckman’s 45th anniversary with the bank on Oct. 21.  She is the long-standing branch sales manager at Arvest’s Bull Shoals location and the longest-tenured associate in the bank’s North Central Arkansas market that includes Bull Shoals, Yellville, Mountain Home, Harrison, Lead Hill and Flippin, Ark., as well as West Plains, Mo.

Eckman began her banking career as teller after graduating high school. She was promoted to assistant branch manager and then branch sales manager.

Arvest Wealth Management’s Wright Earns Designation

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce Deanna Wright has earned Certified Wealth Strategist® designation, as issued by Cannon Financial Institute.

Wright is an assistant vice president and client advisor for Arvest Wealth Management in Fayetteville. She holds Series 7, 63, 66 and 99 securities licenses, as well as an Arkansas insurance license, and has been in the banking industry for 10 years.
 
Among other requirements, candidates seeking the Certified Wealth Strategist® designation must complete two weeks of instructor-led training sessions, four modules of directed study, a business plan and case study, and pass four online examinations. Those who earn the designation are required to complete 33 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain it.
 
“We are proud of Deanna’s accomplishment and know that it will help her serve her clients,” said Steve Burkhead, an Arvest Wealth Management regional manager. “She’s always looking for tools that can make her more effective, and that’s one of the things that makes her such a valuable part of our team.”

Arvest Bank Promotes Davis to Vice President

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce that Andy Davis has been promoted to vice president, commercial banker for the Fayetteville market.
 
Davis, who has eight years of experience with Arvest Bank, has held a variety of roles, including consumer and commercial loan assistant, and a credit analyst. Most of his time has been spent working as a credit analyst and commercial banker. As a commercial banker, Davis generates, evaluates and approves commercial loans, among other duties.
 
“Andy is a true asset to our team in Fayetteville,” said Ladd Lanier, commercial loan manager for Arvest in Fayetteville. “His effort and enthusiasm is evident every day, and he prides himself on going the extra mile for his clients. This promotion to vice president is well-deserved and we look forward to even better things from Andy in the future.”
 
Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in business management – with a focus in organizational leadership – at the University of Arkansas. A Bentonville native, Davis lives in Fayetteville with his wife and daughter. He is the current president-elect for the Northside Fayetteville Rotary Club and treasurer of the advisory board for the Salvation Army of Northwest Arkansas, among other civic activities.

Arvest Bank Announces Phelps Hiring

Arvest Bank is pleased to announce it has hired Lora Phelps.
 
Phelps will serve both the Joplin and Springfield markets as a senior vice president and Trust Officer. She has more than 14 years of experience in similar roles with other financial institutions, and will be responsible for fiduciary account administration of personal trusts, estates, investment accounts and IRAs, among other responsibilities.
 
A Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CFTA), Phelps earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture – with a minor in political science – at the University of Missouri, where she also earned a law degree.
 
Phelps is active in numerous local civic groups, including serving as a board member for the McCune-Brooks Healthcare Foundation, Connect2Culture, Vision Carthage and the Jasper County Association for Social Services. Phelps lives in Carthage with her husband, Bill, and their two daughters. The family attends Grace Episcopal Church.
